I'm watching a programme on Sky (539)about the demise of the Bee (very emotional)............they are dying at an alarming rate............so ?.............who gives a !..............well we should.........no Bee's = no pollination = no food.
Many do not understand the power of bees, they provide us with life through their tireless endeavours in pollinating the flowers that provide a lot of our food, without them many of our food sources will no longer exist......................... ![]() Watching this programme really does put you in your place.............without something considered so insignificant as a bee...................we would not be here !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bees do not charge for their services .............they make honey to feed their young..........we take that as well...............

hi russ, i saw a similar prog. last year.the next day i had a roofing job to do in mid sussex, as i was up there i noticed a swarm of bees around a chimney next to me. thousands of them going about their business, i left the job after the days work and went back to brighton. once at home i noticed a bee on my clothing so thinking about the prog. i watched i decided to look after him/her as it was flagging a bit. anyway set up a small saucer and put some sugar and honey in it. the next day i drove back to the job, with the bee still in the saucer, took it up to the roof and put it back with all its mates. there was i thinking "oh yeah the bee god will look after me today". in the afternoon the first sting on the back of the head didnt hurt that much, the one on the neck hurt a little more, the top of the ear and the bottom of the ear , well made my eyes water a bit, but the creme de la creme, the top lip. efffinggggggggg helll. the moral of the story, never give a bee crap honey from sainsburys, cos word gets around. (bless em)
